Ideas to Hang on the Wall
A lady came to me with a Medieval style Battle Axe and asked me if I could make something to hang it on the wall with. I also happened to know that she was a fan of the movie, "The Black Shield of Falworth".

In the movie it was a black shield and scarlet Griffin. I couldn't find a good picture of a griffin that I liked but surely a scarlet Phoenix is close enough. Besides it is supposed to show off the axe not the shield.
A fellow asked me if I could make a "Wizard's Staff" for him.
I told him he would have to apply his own "Alchemy" to finish it off the way he wanted it.
Here is a plaque I created to display a Confederate Bayonet from the Civil War
The plaque was made in the shape of the county it was found in and I created the "CS" belt buckle.
A customer asked me if I could make a plaque of an F-15 Eagle large enough for a poem to be engraved on.

The poem was "High Flight". The customer said," He LOVED it and was very impressed with the details on the tail! He kept looking at every little cut, amazed that it was so accurate! You did a fantastic job, and I am so glad I found you on the internet."
My parents recently celebrated their fiftieth
anniversary. This was what I came up with.
My wife likes to make calendars on the computer and print them out. How to hang and use them was a problem. So I came up with this.

They slide in and they slide out and you can still write on them.
A school asked me if I could make a pair of large wooden planning calendars for them.

Here is what the school had to say about them. "Jim, They are perfect! Just what we wanted. Now we can finally get organized."
I needed some horizontal storage space. The entrance way at the front door had room so why not a shelf for the foyer?

My mother collects miniature spoons. She asked me if I could make a spoon display in the shape of Florida. I said I'll try.

Did I come close?
She also requested a small shelf with a hidden drawer.

Some folks tell me that it resembles a fireplace mantel and I suppose it could be if it was on a larger scale.
PLAQUES for DEER MOUNTS
Did you bag a big one last year? Maybe you'll get a size LARGE this year. Why not have him mounted on a plaque in the shape of the state you bagged him in? Made from solid Walnut. Also, available made from Oak or Pine. Other woods on request if I can fine them. I will make any shape or size plaque for your deer, just tell me what you want.

Here is another way of displaying your Trophy in a smaller space. This plaque is shown unfinished as requested by Mule's Taxidermy, Houston, MO which also provided the pattern.
In this instance the deer would be facing to the left. The plaque can be made for a left facing or right facing deer. As an idea, get one going both ways and we will build a book shelf in between them. They would make for an interesting pair of bookends.
I can also produce a plaque just for the rack if you prefer.
Shown is a standard spade shape but as always I can make it any shape you want. Below is what I call a shield shape.
